How to export parts to our friends in Europe?

As we have such an involved and helpful group of friends in Europe, I thought we might share how best to ship these guys parts. I, for one, have found a parts car with many parts I won't need. I have received requests from a couple of these members to sell and ship them parts.

I don't know where to begin to discover the most efficient (read reliable and cheap!) way to get parts to our brothers across the pond. If you have experience with this exercise, please share!

Mostly I got the parts by US Postal Service and it never was a problem. Once I got a parade boot from Canada which is worth some 100$ so that I had to pay duty for it here in Germany, but also this worked without any problems. For details look here : http://ircalc.usps.gov/

I've used FedEx many times with no problems...and usually very fast. I don't have any comparison prices, but they seemed reasonable.
